My 2. 8- Day Arbonne Cleanse Experience. Okay you guys, it’s here. I’m here to talk about my 2. Day Cleanse. I asked on Facebook the other day if people would be interested in hearing about the cleanse I did and a lot of you said ya! Then I’ll get into what I liked and didn’t like. I even took before and after pictures! I did the Arbonne Detox. Arbonne is a company that sells quite a bit and I think the cleanse is a new thing. Or at least I hadn’t heard of it before! Here are the dietary restrictions or what you couldn’t eat: Dairy Gluten Soy Peanuts & Peanut Butter Sugar, Honey, Maple Syrup Artificial Sweeteners Coffee Alcohol All Fruit EXCEPT limes, lemons green apples & berries Pork Farm- raised fish Non Cage- Free Eggs Non Free- Range Chicken All Beef, other than grass fed White Potatoes Corn Nitrates MSG Vinegar. I know, I know that seems like a lot! I was thinking the same thing. And why the heck can I not have other fruits? I didn’t think those were bad for you? Well, I’ll explain. Here are the foods you can have: Almond, Coconut & Flax Milk Brown Rice Raw Almonds Almond Butter Coconut Sugar Stevia, Xylitol Green & Herb Teas Non Starchy Vegetables Organic green apples & berries Cage- Free Eggs Wild- caught Cold Water Fish (limit to 1x per week) Free- Range Chicken and Turkey Grass fed Beef (limit to 1x per week) Sweet Potatoes, Yams,Turnips Legumes Avocado Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Flaxseed Oil. At least that list is rather long as well. The hardest thing for me was the wheat. And trying to find everything in brown rice pasta instead of regular proves a little difficult. Trader Joe’s came through for me though. So why these particular dietary restrictions? I did a cleanse before that had restrictions, just not as strict as these. The plan focus on 5 different areas of fitness. This is pretty obvious for a cleanse. Anything that goes into your body that doesn’t create energy is a toxin. Obviously, we probably intake more toxins than we even realize which is why a cleanse is a good idea for anyone. Eating whole, organic (if you can) foods is a good way to start cleansing your body and the first step of this Arbonne Cleanse. People are overweight yet malnourished. This is why they want you to eat whole & up the nutrient intake while on the detox. Just by adding more veggies on your plate is an excellent start! Eliminate allergenic or addictive foods. The reason the Arbonne diet does this is because for starters, we often will be allergic to something without even knowing it. We crave it but it’s slowly making us sicker and sicker. Things to avoid during the cleanse are gluten, soy, dairy, and refined sugar. By eliminating these during the cleanse and slowly integrating one group at a time at the end of the cleanse, you’ll be able to see how your body reacts to everything. This one is the reason some fruits aren’t included in the diet. Each food has a glycemic index and the body needs to constantly have a good balance. But if you’re eating foods that are bad for you, it’s your body that is trying to make adjustments and overworking. The foods with a lower glycemic index are foods that release sugar slowly, make you feel full longer, and are what balances your blood sugar out. Support elimination organs. It tastes like a watered down apple cider vinegar. I didn’t think it was so bad. Then you finish the cleanse off with one more week of clean eating. Honestly, at the beginning, I didn’t think I was going to make it. I thought there was no way I could go 2. My parents were doing it as well, which helped a ton. I figured if it happened, great, but it was more of an effort to eat healthier and have my body feel the benefits.
